For nearly 40 years we have set aside time every May during Public Service Recognition Week to honor you—those who chose to serve our nation as federal, state, county, and local government employees.
At VA, our commitment is to keep the Veteran at the center of everything we do. Your public service is critical to supporting Veterans, family members, caregivers, and survivors. In collaboration with our sister agencies as part of the President’s Management Agenda, we are working to improve the Transition Experience using human centered design so that Veterans feel supported, engaged, and empowered after their service.
